MLK Day Beach Cleanup in Kahuku

A staggering 500 people came out to the James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge in Kahuku for the Martin Luther King Day Beach Cleanup organized by the Kokua Hawaii Foundation. Over 6,050 lbs of trash and debris were removed from the beach - 1,450 lbs of which was recycled with the Parley for the Oceans project. This amazing event included a strong network of the following partners:

  • Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii
  • Kailua Beach Adventures
  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
  • Hawaii Marine Animal Response
  • Bee's Wrap (donor)
  • RAW ELEMENTS USA (donor)
